How about a few self stick tiles (any color) , cut out some scallop shapes and put all around the rim. The tiles are easy to cut with scissors, just try to make them as uniform as possible. It depends on what kind of floor you have and what kind of damage is done. If the floor is linoleum you could maybe paint it to match the rest, so it blends in. Without knowing more info, just guessing.
