Well i attend a reputable uni in the uk and do electrical and electronics eng. I recently got my results and i have failed my 1st year. I thus got moved to the ordinary electrical and elctronics course. The course is exactly the same as the normal electrical and electronics eng but i will be doing 3 modules over the enxt 2 years less than what i would have done if i was still doing the normal course.
How badly have i hit the chances of me getting a good job? Advice needed here by experienced people?
Learn from the experience!
You will know what went wrong.
Most students are considering the future throughout uni.
If you are able to overcome this set back and graduate you should get a decent job.Advice needed here by experienced people?
Sorry to hear that you failed but it is not the end of the world. Yes easy for me to say I hear you say, but really this may be the opportunity to reassess your situation. Have you thought about getting employment and doing a vocational course as a way of getting your qualification. Starting with an NVQ level 3 you could work up to a degree level this way.
I would also advise that you to speak to the Uni career adviser for advice.
All the best. Earn whilst you learn.
You'll probably still be able to get a decent job when you are done, just not the job you maybe wanted.
