Why are people still seeking NUTRITIONAL advice from DOCTORS?!!!?

Don't they know, doctors are not qualified to give people nutritional advice. They can only tell you to fast before an operation, or drink more water. They are never qualified to tell you to eat extra/less carbohydrate/protein/fats...

I'm not saying doctors are evil, they do have their own specific specilisation and they are still important in society. Doctors go Med school for 5-7 years, only to learn how to cure you of you're illnesses, nothing more. Nothing more.

Statistics from U.S. Dept. of Health %26amp; Human Services:

Medical Doctors:

- The number of medical doctors in the U.S. is 700,000

- Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000

- Accidental deaths per physician is 17.14%

One of the contributing factors is, people go to the doctor, and then ask them what-to-eat. Of course, the doctor will somehow feel obligated to give his/her OPINION.

it's great that you understand. you guys, if you read this, and still do not believe me, do your own research. when you believe, spread the word =)

and yea, let me emphasise again. medical doctors are not bad, it's just that they have a different area of specialisation =)

I'd say a lot of people still see doctors as the ultimate health specialist. They figure that any advice they get must work as ';the doctor'; told them. Its really quite sad as there are so many other options for nearly everything.
